Course Description

Start Line:

Participants will be shuttled to the race start (Spring Mountain Ranch State Park) from the finish line (West Career and Technical Academy) starting at 5:30 am.

Coffee, Water, Toilets, Bag Drop, Warm-up and stretching areas will be available at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.

Course:

The first half of the course consists of rolling hills with the last 6.5 miles almost exclusively downhill. Runners will be in SR 159's bicycle lane, blocked from traffic with traffic cones and bicycle escorts. All traffic crossings will be managed by police officers. See the map to the right for elevation.

Aid Stations:

There will be volunteer Aid Stations roughly every two miles along the course. Water, GU Tri-Berry Electrolyte drink, and a toilet will be available at each aid station. Should you find yourself in need of additional assistance please speak with a volunteer at the aid station who may assist you. Sag will be available but know this may take some time to arrange.

Race Rules: Each participant will have their race bib visible on the front of his or her body. This is important for a variety of reasons, least of which is race photographs. Smile! Participants will stay within the designated course and not enter the roadway. Leaving the course and entering the traffic lane on SR 159 can be cause for disqualification. A safe course requires participants to hear commands from race staff, volunteers, and police officers. If you insist on participating with music, leave one ear open at all times.

Per our permit, all participants must maintain at least a 15 minute per mile pace.

Cattleguards:

There are cattleguards in the road at miles 1 & 8.6. They will be covered with plywood for runner safety.

Finish Line:

The Finish Line will feature our partner vendors, bodywork and active stretching areas, water and electrolyte drink, hot coffee, fruit and snacks, music, searchable finisher times, and dropped bag collection.

Teams & Awards

Overall:

Awards will be given to the first three male and female overall participants as well as age group awards. The awards ceremony begins at 9:30 am
